Now that this thread comes up again I wanted to ask you something. A room that I have unfinish in my model and that I would like to recreate is the master bedroom. Unfortunately I have not found any pictures of this room so my main question is about the fireplace. How do you think the design was? ht...

It seems that virtually rebuilding this building has become fashionable. To be able to visit this building interactively, in my opinion the model that until now offers a better degree of detail is this: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/3cbc7d4f56fcc8aa6366215928686242/Frank-Lloyd-Wright-The-La...

I agree, it is a very good and very complicated photo to execute, there is no doubt, but I always thought that it had a very clear intention and now I wonder if it was born from the need to avoid the electricity cables, many works of art were born of humble needs, what makes it great is the virtuosi...

https://78.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lolvm67bFG1qzglyyo1_1280.jpg in this, probably the most famous photograph of the Larkin building, why did the photographer choose such a skew point of view? Did he want to emphasize the strong vertical lines of Wright's design? While I was modeling the Larkin, I r...

I agree, simply because with a computer it is easier to lie (in fact, at least in my experience, the tricky thing is to tell the truth) Although as SDR says in another thread, a photographer is never innocent either.

https://www.kcet.org/shows/artbound/episodes/that-far-corner-frank-lloyd-wright-in-los-angeles It's only a second, but at minute 4:48 the Larkin Administration Building appears in one of my renders. They contacted me to ask for my permission and of course I gave it to them. We do not realize it, but...

SDR what you say is very inspiring and poetic, you are right, if it is possible to play with photography much more with software programs, I will think about it. So far my position on this issue is that I try to show Wright's buildings in the most objective and documentary way possible, I do not wan...

It still seems a shame to me to force unknown light fixtures into the model solely for the purpose of "accurately" lighting the model. That strikes me as putting the cart before the horse -- or some such metaphor. (Is that a metaphor, Roderick ?) But I've resigned myself . . . SDR An amaz...

Modeling Wright's furniture without having its beautiful blueprints is a real pain

After a few months of rest I'm modeling again, I'm helping Chad (Meisolus in the chat) with the Spaulding Print Room and I want to finish my model for Ocatillo. Nice work! It is a pity that the author has not read this thread before, because he has made the same mistakes that I made (the stone is gray, the skylight is not translucent, etc.). Fortunately at least, he has not wasted his time modeling the pipe organ as I did. I will send an email to Mario, app...

Hello SDR!

I refer to the "blackboard" (I suppose made of wood) that appears as a furniture and on which there are exposed prints.
