To my knowledge this article contains the first published reaction from Safdie on adding Wright's Usonian adjacent to Safdie's museum campus.

Safdie noted that he, Jones and Wright each now have an influence on the museum's grounds.
"The trilogy has pleased me," he said.

When Abe and Gloria Wilson finished building the house in 1956 they did not complete all the loose furnishings as designed by FLLW (dining table and chairs, coffee tables, hassocks..). Sharon and Lawrence Tarantino’s restoration starting in 1988 included constructing those missing original designs...

Taliesin apprentice Marcus Weston writes in Tafel's About Wright, page 184: "That fall (1938) we worked on the windmill, Romeo and Juliet, about eighty feet high. We took off the original shingles, renailed the sheathing and recovered it with boards and battens."

Back to Kraus, John Eifler, as restoration architect in his 2002 assessment identified the lack of flashing beneath the rowlock as aggravating the infiltration. Copper flashing was added in the restoration along with compatible brick found in Sioux City, Iowa to supply the 40%. This again all accord...

Jane Hession's 2015 book on the Kraus house includes a chapter on the restoration that describes water infiltration through the original rowlock cap as the primary reason why 40% of the brick in the house were replaced.
