For another architect's opinion on what kinds of roof slopes are appropriate in Banff's climate, check out photos of the (Fairmont) Banff Springs hotel.

Anyone heard of this architect? Some pretty interesting work.

And the architect is...Brooks Walker III, nephew of Della Walker who commissioned the Mrs. Clinton Walker house from Mr. Wright. The family still owns the house and Brooks is the "caretaker."

Back to Wingspread. Anyone know what the story is with the one concrete floor module partially under the fireplace grate that is lighter in color? Have they had leaks in the hydronic heating?
