The photos in the two references in the last response are from a magazine article of a few years ago. I can't put my finger on it but it may have been architectural digest. The photos were new at the time, and I believe the article said this was the first time the house had been extensively publishe...

Is that really from Bogk? I have not been in the interior of the house but it does not appear to have the same detailing as published photos of the house show.

I have seen a number of published photos of the house post trellis repair. It's a poor job...the repaired trellis is thicker than the original...perhaps lumpy is the best description.

Rather than wrinkling one's nose at the thought, horror of horrors, this article might be a precursor to a house sale, should we not applaud an educational piece to attract a purchaser who will appreciate the house and its pedigree?

I have no idea - I am not a horticulturist but merely repeating info from the City's tree inventory. I can't vouch for its accuracy. The two Italian Stone Pine are quite marvelous, and somewhat "exotic" in terms of both species and size for San Francisco. They are both rated "good" condition by the City. They have been wired together for strength. That being said, if the house were mine I would take off some l...

Spent some time there Saturday, as did Richard Neutra's son Raymond, and grandson, and a gaggle of architects photographing and appreciating. It is a truly wonderful, happy space. Very compact in terms of square feet, but expansive in terms of openness. Original Neutra colored pencil renderings hang...

Yes please lets not ruin this site with politics of any persuasion. It may be important but there are a million sites to do that on, and only one Wright chat intended to, well, chat about Wright and his architecture.
