That a long flank of floor to ceiling glass doors was not used in this house and this is part of what makes it good is to be noted.

Does the rendering show a large reflecting pool in the foreground and thus a long low waterfall bordering the carport?

This house does bear some resemblance to Safdie's Chrystal Bridges coincidentally.

My quess is that Mrs Kauffman's bedroom is the "pod" on the right and that she accesses the water through a flight of stairs like Bear Run.

May I ask you to elaborate on the screen finishing question. All I know about this is that the screens in Wright's houses were brass, no? You seem to indicate that there are diffrerent ways to finish them. I've never heard of screen finishing, cool.

Really like that Jacobs detail. Two questions. One, how is the outside wood piece of the mullion attached, the piece that is rip notched to accept the leg of the 'T'?
Two, the bottom steel plate and the steel 'T' itself appear to have small consciously exposed surfaces. Am I reading that correctly?
