Wow, smack dab in the middle of Columbus, cool.

Now, are we talking about Tony Smith the sculptor?

Reflecting on peterm's photographs: They remind me of something I think perhaps during Wright's time was in the foreground but now is obscured. This is the moral sense in his work of living more with less. Wasn't that part of the appeal of his work, the sense of being closer to what is ultimate by e...

The houses he did for himself are the ones that come to mind first for me. They probably rank at the top for most people here too, I'd bet on that. Will be interesting to see what else comes up especially from the "old hands" and and their comments -also those who have experience with rest...

The Google street views of this house show a very generous site. It surprised me, but then it made sense ..it is a Wright house after all. May have something to do with the size of the house. Small house = big nature.

I emailed rate request from the contact info on the website and the $1495 per night was the answer I received back. Literally: "Emil Bach House is $1495 plus tax per night" That is what the email said. They may have meant $1495 for the minimum two night stay. That would make some sense rel...

I didn't realize that about the dining table. Hope to see this place at some point.

Interesting sociologically, or something like that, is one bathroom for the entire house.

Nice interior shots here: http://emilbachhouse.com

By the way ... I like the temporary solution of the red rail to the balcony parapet. For this Wright "purist" it's a creative continuation out of Wright's later career moves. You could do a lot worse with something else. Will be interested to see what the permanent solution is.

WOW. From the entry it looks like one steps up to the bedroom wing and down to the living room where the study has a cool interior balcony. On the workspace side of the house how does the entry level get to the workspace level? I can't seem to find stairs on that end. I am unable to understand the r...
