Do you think the owner is a registered architect? I don't think a wannabe could do something like this. At the same time I'm skeptical that the owner is the architect.

It's interesting from above no? I like the form of the roof. On the whole I prefer a rougher feel on the interior though. Then there's the mystery of the "owner/designer". Not sure I really accept that at face value. What architect would not put there name on this if they owned and designe...

North Ann Arbor just above the major highway perimeter, highway 14. North Dixboro runs N/S crossed by Warren Road running E/W. Zoom in on that intersection. This house is located alone and smack in the middle of the S/E quadrant. Sort of a pinwheel handsome roof plan. Can't miss it. Warren Road is t...

A Google map search of North Dixboro Road lands you almost on top of this house. Nice piece of land.

Good questions make an informative thread. Thanks Reidy. RG is a treasure. That shot over the planter looking across the valley ... does my heart good.

Very fine drawing. 2 point perspective ... what are you using for a straight edge? About how big is this sketch? Love the plan at bottom. Any particular reason that you shortened the bottom slat?
Wish they would have built this.

Siting of steel in floor in phase 2 video ... very exciting!
Siting of support ends of stair tension rods in phase 3
The next deconstruction video they post may show the anatomy of that roof.

RG, I thought I saw in that clip some of the hollyhock frieze ornaments painted grey. Did they paint the exterior?
