Yep - makes good sense BTW - check this link out: NW elevation drawing of Price Tower. Anything seem unusual in this drawing? I don't know what to make of the left hand side of the tower - < < < < etc: https://www.wright20.com/auctions/2019/06/important-design-including-post-war-contemporary-art/416...

Been trying to coordinate the early plan of Pappas with the elevation to understand the high volumes along the entry side (north plan side) of the house. Ive been counting modules and it looks like the south side of the long clerestroy wall does not come down directly upon a wall below, but on a uni...

Haven't read my Smith book in awhile -
but it seems like the Hanna House and Wright's hexagonal modular plans in particular had a lasting impact on his art.
Unusual to see that combination from organic to abstract ...
or are there other examples?

I once corresponded briefly on telephone with an old timer from TWest. I asked him some stupid question like: "why don't you guys make the construction documents for Fallingwater available" His response was, - well we can't do that because someone might build another Fallingwater. I hung u...

Thus nothing availabel online from the Getty either
...reagrding Wright.

Wonder what the interest is that is preventing wealthy institutions
like the Getty and the Columbia Archive from making this material
available online?

UCSB AD&A Archives

For one of the "largest architectural archives in North America"
it struck me as odd that I found nothing on FLLW.
Maybe I'm wrong.

But cool stuff anyway:

Yeah, the Soderburg shot of the gate is more attractive.
Still the all black surprises me, but ok.

The vertical mortar joints in the brick are a distraction
The plaster ceiling is less than what one would have hoped for.

Still, not the mash up then what I previously thought.
