I have Kruty's book and have exhaustively searched it for a mention of the roof color, but I can't find one. Considering Wright put terra cotta roofs on nearly all of his commissions up to Midway, and since I rather doubt he used slate, I think it's a safe bet and it's what I'm going to depict on my...

Midway Gardens Roof
Hello everyone, I'm working on a virtual model of Midway Gardens. I've read Paul Kruty's book, gone over the Wendingen, and I'm trying to obtain drawings from Taliesin. Progress on the model is going well. Yet despite all this research, I cannot find any direct reference that gives me the color of t...

John, I too apologize for not posting sooner and I'll use the holidays as an excuse as well. The window you posted is AMAZING. Being able to see a whole window with a full design is incredibly helpful to me. I've been trying to piece the design together from photos with little luck. Thank you so much!

Re: Midway Gardens Windows
Thanks everyone for all the advice. I really appreciate it!
John, if you have any photos you could post, I'd be extremely grateful.
Roderick, I'll have to check out the Sloan book for sure. Any drawings at all would be helpful.

Thank you both for the advice. I've scoured Paul Kruty's book looking for a good clear photo, but haven't had much luck. The best I've got is a reflection in one of the photos inside the tavern. The photo Ron posted is really interesting and definitely gives a good idea of what the windows were like...

Midway Gardens Windows
Does anyone know what the designs were for the windows at Midway Gardens? There were art glass clerestory windows as well as art glass doors. I've seen plenty of pictures of the interior and exterior, but nothing that is a detail shot or close up. Are there any drawings, reproductions, or even origi...

Sherman Booth House
I've been reading 'Treasures of Taliesin' by BBP, and I'm fascinated with several of Wright's unbuilt houses, particularly the Sherman Booth house that was to be over the ravine. Can anyone tell me how thoroughly this house was designed? Was it just basic renderings etc. or a full set of working dra...

Thank you both for the info! Right now, I'm kind of obsessing over the Imperial Hotel and wish I had a lot more information on the Husser House. I'd love to get my hands on as many of the drawings for the IH as I can, but there doesn't seem to be much out there specifically on it. How well is it cov...

FLW Monographs vs Complete Works
I'm an avid book collector but my library of Wright books is still on the small side. I've heard a great deal about the Japanese monographs by BBP and I know that the new three volume Complete Works is coming out now. Can someone please tell me the relative merits of both? I am particularly interest...
