Hint: Go to one that has been recently remodeled or looks fresher than the rest. Folks who just remodeled ...

Bernard Pyron - Thanks for the post. It is great that you could be part of the FLW storyline (even in a small way). Two weeks ago in FL, I met a man who was retired. He had worked his entire career at SC Johnson. He had plenty of second hand and some limited first hand knowledge of FLW. Good stuff.....

The move is a good one. Why? It preserves the house and will allow the house to serve its main function: a place to live. It is clear that the house will continue to be assaulted by water. The current owners will either tire of the matter or they’ll go broke. The same fate would hold for any other...

I'm not talking about the grayness of the natural wood. The floor of the deck and the inside of the rail were painted battleship gray. The bits of gray in the wood caused by exposure to the weather are not a problem. Right. Same thought process. However, this time looking out from the living room. ...

Perhaps that is what he intended, but I wonder if he would have preferred that the original reddish color be maintained by sealing the wood. Deke Given the woodsy site, the grey color is very nice. Sealing the wood would almost cr...

Patterson, CA
I will be spending a few days there, and will have time to look around. I'll have a car.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I'd be more interested in residential. But anything interesting would be nice.
Thanks again.
