Does anyone know what happened to Peter Beers?

http://www.peterbeers.net/interests/flw ... adtrip.htm

I am too lazy to count all the visits noted on his website, but it is north of 100.

Great white whale number one = Lloyd Lewis House in Libertyville, Illinois I work minutes from the place, but you can't see it from the street. And it never has been (that I've seen) open to the public. I may resort to floating down the river... a true Captain Ahab. Great white whale number two = Ma...

1994 and my FLW companion

I bought my one and only FLW companion (Storrer) in 1994 (ish). I purchased it after touring Oak Park a handful of times. I was looking through it tonight. In my 15+ years as a FLW fan, I have visited 200+ Wright structures. I've been inside 50 or so. This seems like a lot, but I wonder how this com...

Paul It has been a while since you have posted on your project. Are you fully settled in? What is left? If I recall, you mentioned potentially producing a book on the matter. Is this your intention? Are you fully recovered? We'll be going to the zoo this week to see the lights. If you see a minivan ...

Eye opening...

I must admit. It is hard to wrap my brain around the cost.

Cost to renovate

Best guess, how much would this house cost to restore - say to the level of the Ross house? Assume modest finishes. http://www.rubloff.com/property/glencoe/07867679.cfm?searchId=be7da4be-00b7-455a-9ffb-0ab993313f78&page=1&pageSize=20&sortType=1 I am thinking $150k to $250k if one could r...

Pew house

I was up near the Pew house. The neighborhood is interesting. A lot of neat houses around there. Many mid century modern, but organic.

Are there any good resources ( books, etc.) about the area of Shorewood Hills?

Thank you.

One of the ways a building can be damaged during an earthquake is when the different building elements don’t move in tandem. Could the spindles be tying the roof deck and the beams together? Just a guess…
