Re: Frank Lloyd Wright Quintin Blair House
I've been by where the house is. Unfortunately, you cannot see it at all unless you drive down the driveway, and that would be technically trespassing. I would try to contact the owner by whatever means you can and try to arrange a visit. Many, but not all, Wright homeowners are generous with showin...

Welcome to the site, Mr. Levin. As a Michigan based Wright aficionado, I am very interested in what you have to say about these very important and interesting Wright houses. To answer your question about original owners and apprentices, I know Alma Goetsch and Katherine Winckler moved from their Wri...

SDR, the thing I remember most is the feeling that I was in a cave with a low wood ceiling. Roderick is correct...the curved living room is a bit awkward, large and less is more would be more effective. The kitchen is beautiful...perhaps the best FLW kitchen I've ever seen. The upstairs was off limi...

My list: 1) See the FLW works in Northern California (Morris Gift Shop, Hanna, Marin County buildings). 2) Tour the interior of at least one of the textile block houses. I've seen them from the exterior, but have never been inside. 3) Own a FLW barrel chair. 4) Write a book on FLW. It's only a matte...

I need some * Wright stats
Does anyone know the following:
#of total building (residential, commercial, anything) designs Wright made
# of these designs that were built:
# that have been torn down (counting Carr and the Mercedes Dealership, I believe it to be 120).
From those numbers, we would get what remains.
Thanks!

Greetings From The Palmer House
My wife and I have spent the last two nights at the Palmer house. It is an incredible house that each and everyone of you should experience. The numerous pictures that have been published in the various books and magazines do not do justice to what a beautiful work of art this house is. I encourage ...

I live in Michigan and have been to most of the Wright sites one way or another. My rundown (forgive me for redundant information): Affleck - Worth a look. Occasional tours are given through Lawrence Technological University, who own the house. Lawrence has recently paid more attention to the house ...
