Things look very bleak there. It looks like the heat may be off. If it is off, the in ground heating system may be in trouble with frozen pipes.
Some masonry failures as well. The exterior wood trim can be dealt with easliy. Sad to see this state of affairs.

Glore has no risers. Philippine mahogany treads and black steel rods suspended from the ceiling for support. Risers embedded into the brick opposite the steel rods.

Just curious.

How could this end up here?

It is amazing that a building the scale of the Women's Temple would have been demolished after only 34 years in the 1920's. However, that real estate is as prime as it gets in Chicago. Brings to mind the Imperial Hotel, Midway Gardens...

Would you have any images of Wright's earlier works you mentioned with horses and carriages which you could post or give a reference for?

I don't recall seeing any and I would find it very interesting.

I would imagine that they weren't glass packs but work was done on the exhaust system. Compared with a stock 365, it crackled... I just don't remember what the sales person said.

Sort of liked it. However, after a night of heavy drinking, the walls in the master bath would be hard to endure. Great lines (or lack of) in the kitchen but too much square footage as was mentioned. What is the black car at the end, a Bently Continental?

The tops of the free standing closets in FLW houses was a very good hiding spot which I did in fact use for such a purpose. I guess the cat is out of the bag now so to speak.
