Oh, McNally
It's quaint to see your earnestness in thinking that people on this board would not take the opportunity to insult anything that violates their strict rules of what is acceptable in the Wright-universe. Just remember: any outside entity is evil (including this one, which hosts the chat page for free...

Interesting. The first person who told me about the FLW Foundation and Second Life was someone from the Foundation, as the relationship was first being set up. This person was very positive about the whole idea. So it makes me think that something happened in the relationship, and we don't really un...

thoughts on Loving Frank
I'm holding my judgment, since this is the first novel by the author. I'll probably read it. I tried reading The Architect but did not find it riveting. Hopefully it will be written well enough to prevent my FLLW-inspired wrath over the facts. who knows.

Who would play FLLW
Bob Moser ? Ed Tafel ? Eric Lloyd Wright ? No offense to Bob, but I thought he died. Edgar? 95 years old (although he's quite spry). Eric LLW? We can't ask Eric to do that. He's too devoted to his father & grandfather. Cloris Leachman is a great choice for Olgivanna. Oh, if we could get her &am...

facts vs. conclusions
So far I have not found any history that is not accurate, but some of that fact has been used to infer things about Frank Lloyd Wright that are baseless, and some coincidental facts have been cobbled together to surmise a possible scenario for which there is no proof. That's been my problem with so...

So....
I'm almost finished. Has anybody else read it? The info about Olgivanna in the "Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man" was really interesting. And Wijdeveld's influence on the Fellowship charter was really exciting--very important within the whole canon. And then there were the l...

I'd heard things were in the works for the Unitarian Meeting house, but not Unity Temple. Sounds like they're trying to do something more sensitive for Unity--have the addition separated from the main building (thank Frank!) so that it doesn't detract. Having been in that building several times, I d...

Edwin Cheney
I am doing research on Edwin Cheney after his move to St. Louis. I had never known he moved to St. Louis; in fact, I've never been able to find any information about his life after the 1914 fire at Taliesin. Where are he, Martha and John buried? And is he related at all to the current Vice Presiden...

One thing for me about Tafel, from what I've observed from reading his books and seeing him speak, is that he has taken advantage of the myths as much as anyone. That doesn't mean he isn't telling the truth, but I approach what he writes and says with a healthy skepticism. I would just like to put t...
