CGI Usonian
Is this based on any particular house? It seems too close to the street. Even Jacobs 1 is a little bit further back. Where does the driveway go? The interior of the Great Room does not seem Wright. I marvel at the energy, time and talent that goes into these presentations, but when the house being i...

Monticello Modern
The house is hardly hidden as it is right on Monticello Boulevard. The property is near where John D Rockefeller 's house once stood. After the house burned, Rockefeller gave the land to the city of East Cleveland to be used as a park. He developed adjacent land with Norman-ish style houses. Some we...

Where did Edgar Tafel buy it?
I work for Ethan Allen and we sell Nylon Area Rugs in a pattern called Satori or a lovely wool in a pattern called Sheridan. Usable colors. But I fear I taken the discussion off track.

I thought Mr. Wright's offace at Taliesin had a shag-ish rug in a brighter blue color. Could they be a resource?

Never Built New York. Included are the St. Marks in the Bowery project and a proposal for a building celebrating Ellis Island. The later was for a competition to repurpose the Island after the Immigration Entry Station was closed in the mid 50's. An interesting read with pictures.

I forgot to respond to the comment of the docents at Woodlawn Plantation. When I went-years ago-I forgot that there was an old 18th century Plantation house at the same place where there was a Frank Lloyd Wright building! It does make for an interesting contrast. The National Trust for Historic Pres...

Are the "plywood" chairs to be thought of as the "Origami" chairs? Pope/Leighey has a lounge chair made of plywood. I believe it is the same design as the dining chairs. Was there a specific Chair design for the Bachman/Wilson house?

Were the Origami Chairs designed for the Usonians? It was stated that the chairs were acquired for the house, but were they meant to be in this house?
I understand a book is being published on the house early next year. Has there been scholarly research on the interior of the house?

This kind of publicity whets my appetite to make the journey to Arkansas and see the newly installed Usonian. I have reservations as to whether the new installation duplicates the previous landscaping and approach to the building. This has always been the issue with the Pope Leighey house. That &quo...

I don't think any of Mr. Wright's designs came "Out of the Blue". There is a steady progression of the work from the early Prairie Style to the very last designs. The Weltzheimer floorplan is related to the Barton house, etc.
