Re: For sale: New-Prairie house - Grindelwald, Australia
The furniture in that house really shows that FLW knew what worked with that style.

Re: Article: Walker House - Carmel, CA
I've seen it multiple times, all the sets and locations are wonderful, really capturing that 50s Hollywood era. I was especially impressed with the beach house, sort of like the Walker house but much bigger. Jess Gonchor, the production designer for the film, does a lot of the Coens movies.

Re: Monuments to Futility
Here is an interesting article comparing Seattle's library and its City Hall, both projects initiated in 1999: https://www.architectmagazine.com/design/revisiting-rem-koolhaass-central-library-and-peter-bohlins-city-hall-in-seattle_o One of the knocks of the Library was its use of cheap materials in...

Re: Monuments to Futility
The Rem Koolhaas Seattle Library is the only one I have seen and been in, I found it to be glorious and inspired and yes, even transcendent, inside and out. I found the referenced article odd in that the author started off with an apparent screed against soul-less cookie-cutter shopping architecture...

Re: Blog Post: The Gutter Myth and Wright's Frugal Side
For instance, the "Lincoln" myth caught on and spread like wildfire. By the "Lincoln myth" do you mean the story that FLW's original middle name was Lincoln? Yes and furthermore in Gill’s book he posits two different names: Frank Lincoln Wright and Franklin Lincoln Wright, with ...

Neils House Off Market
I don't know if it has been sold or has just been taken off the market.
It had been listed for three years, I wonder what the situation is?
It seemed to me that it was priced a little high at 2.75 million:

Re: Wikipedia and Wright
Lots of good observations here. Most of the questionable information on the page doesn't have any references, much less substantial ones. The Brendan Gill "Lincoln/Franklin" nonsense is obvious from reading his book—he posits both the "Frank Lincoln Wright" and "Franklin Lin...
