Art Performance at Glenbrow/Gunning House

Glenbrow was the site of an art performance by French Visual Artist Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann as part of a series of works at CCAD's Beeler Gallery curated by Jo-ey Tang. The artist used that the backdrop of organic architecture to "map out the unconscious undercurrents of design in the huma...

Help Bring R.M. Schindler Documentary to the Screen

I thought chatters might be interested in this film on R.M. Schindler: "The first feature-length documentary about the life and works of R. M. Schindler, the most innovative and the least understood of all the pioneers of modern architecture. The film affirms the singular genius of one man, and...

Glenbrow/Gunning Tower Restoration

The Glenbrow Tower was designed by Ted van Fossen in 1964 for Robert and Mary Gunning for use as office space, work space and a guest suite with a roof terrace with a Murphy bed. The structure was connected to the carport which added 2 more bays at the time for a total of 4. The original lower level...

Thanks SDR! The artist that used this fixture as part of a piece could find no markings indicating that it was by Mr Wright. She researched and could not find any similar photos of fixtures. I suggested that folks on this site might be able to shed some light (excuse the pun) on whether it is a Fran...

Does anyone recognize this light fixture?

This light fixture was at an antique/collectibles warehouse and it was claimed to be by Frank Lloyd Wright. I'm wondering if any of you are familiar with this fixture as being from a Wright building and if so which building. Thanks in advance. https://www.flickr.com/photos/184945691@N04/48881894626/...

Laetitia visited in February, along with curators. She was referred to us by an architecture professor friend and were told that her work explores the mutability of a work of architecture over time and those who reside in it. She previously had an installation in Alvar Aalto's Maison Louis Carre and...

The house, on a 4 acre site located within an enclave of 30 homes that range in price from $500k-$1.2 mill just sold for asking price $649K. This seems reasonable compared with the downtown (assuming Cinci) living that the owners are planning. Although I believe the buyer of the Boulter House ($695k...

I'm interested in what chatters think of this house just north of Cincinnati: "There's a Frank Lloyd Wright-Inspired Home Just Sitting In the Woods of Lebanon" -snip 'Tony didn’t want just anyone to design their house, either. He wanted it to be an authentic FLW-inspired home. He co...
