Re: Question regarding Ellis Feiman House
David, It's a private group with 10,000+ members. There are now 284 likes and 42 comments (many saying they plan to visit). The street location in Canton is given. The person taking the photos said there was no one living there. Here is a link to the group-It doesn't allow the sharing of photos (all...

Re: Question regarding Ellis Feiman House
Thanks, SDR. I thought I recalled reading about this house. My intent in a new post was in hopes that the owner would be made aware of the photos posted in this abandoned building group. There were quickly over 200 responses and several tags. Having witnessed the damage that trespassing can do with ...

Question regarding Ellis Feiman House
Hope this finds all in good health. I have a question regarding the the Ellis Feiman House in Canton Ohio. I belong to an Abandoned Homes, Buildings and Structures of Ohio FB group and today photographs of the FLW Ellis Feiman House appeared on this site. Is this house abandoned? It doesn't appear t...

Re: New furniture fabrication for Glenbrow
Thanks! I really love it. I cut out a row on ceiling mounted light during construction when we were so over budget and lived to regret it. This really helps and it's nice that it is on a rheostat. SDR, We used LED lighting throughout to be more energy efficient. Since we prefer warm lighting, The LE...

New furniture fabrication for Glenbrow
I hope everyone is doing well. We are fortunate to be spending quarantine at Glenbrow especially during spring! Now with Joe retired, he has been keeping busy designing/fabricating furniture. Our most recent piece (my Mother's Day present) is a Wright inspired LED light fixture for our living room w...

Re: House near Rush Creek Village for sale
Good eye Roderick, you are correct! That "something wrong", is a builder's interpretation. The realtor replied that the original owners said it was a Wakefield design, not Ted van Fossen.

Re: House near Rush Creek Village for sale
Roderick, I'm not positive that it's a TvF design, especially since it wasn't listed as one (he is popular in this area so you would think it would be listed) but considering the Wakefields were the builders and the house built in 1965 is near Rush Creek Village, it would lead me to think it was a T...

House near Rush Creek Village for sale
I hope everyone here is doing well! I came across this house located near RCV, it doesn't list it as Ted van Fossen but it was built by the Wakefields (builders of RCV) so I think it might be by Ted van Fossen. Re: RESIDENCE B - Hollyhock House
I purchased the Getty Museum published book, Spirit into Matter-The Photographs of Edmund Teske, several years ago because it included photographs of Tony Smith, Tony's wife Jane Lawrence and Ted van Fossen that Teske took during their time together in Los Angeles. There is a chronology section in t...

Not just architecture under attack...I'm sure this assault on our national treasures has nothing to do with Romney's vote: These southern Utah sites were once off limits to development. Now, Trump will auction the right to drill and graze there. https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/202...

Having lived in 2 Wright apprentice designed homes, (Noverre Musson Apprentice '35-'37; Tony Smith and Larry Cuneo '38-'39) I can't say how sorry I am that future architecture students will not have the opportunity to train in FLW's principles of organic architecture. It's such a travesty, especiall...
