Paul, Please skip the DeLorean, unless of course you are secretly a scientist with knowledge of time travel. In that case, go nuts. Yes, the time travel idea is my main motivation. I would like to go back to 1950 and be an apprentice for Mr. Wright... anybody else like to come along? There is room ...

I loved the Studebaker Avanti so much I drove to South Bend, IN and took a tour from the new private owner of the factory.

Smaller, separate more efficient, focused organizations are than better than one large bureaucracy that tries to do it all. I agree. Focused and efficient are the key words. FLWBC has always had a very small staff. IMHO: FLWPT and FLWFDN are top heavy. Also IMHO: No one working for ANY charitable n...

A better question would be why do they "need" 50 employees? 50 or 100 volunteers, yes, but 50 annual salaries sounds like a bloated federal/state/county/city bureaucracy. Assuming that the vast majority of their income comes through donations, from people like us, is this the best use of t...

Wright Homeowners

The question is do Wright homeowners suffer from "affect heuristic." I stumbled across this phrase the other day and thought it might apply... "Another common situation involving affect heuristic is where a strong, emotional first impression can inform a decision, even if subsequent f...

I recently met an architect while we were both taking photos of the progress on the restoration of the Park Inn Hotel. He was from Sioux City, IA and I asked how business was. He said they had 30 architects in his firm and were very busy.
I was amazed.

All of these houses are within walking distance (2blks) of each other. Unlike WrightPlus (3500) The organizers have limited the number of tickets to 300 tickets (150 left as of today). Allow three hours.

Paul- Do you know if the ventless logs come as a kit without the grate? There are many different manufacturers of ventless log sets, so I can't say for sure. There needs to be a burner for the natural gas to flow through, whether it can be set on top of your custom grate or not I don't know. I don'...

There is a fairly easy solution to this problem. 1) Run a gas line to the fireplace (NG or Propane) 2) Close the damper 3) Buy a VENTLESS set of fireplace logs: http://www.efireplacestore.com/ventless-gas-logs.html 100% of the heat generated by these log sets (limited by law to 40,000 BTU) will be d...
