Re: Article/podcast: Imitation or influence? Frank Lloyd Wright’s ‘Bogk House’ and its Milwaukee lookalikes
Roderick - My research has Miriam Noel not coming into Wright's life until mid to late December 1914. I'm curious (and interested) in where the " Miriam came along by November " reference came from. I disagree with Bobby Tanzilo with his comment stating that the Bogk house is " clearl...

Re: Article: Robert Lamp House - Madison, WI
Its always a slippery slope when one so cavalierly suggests "move it". Yes, its saved. But, IMHO, at a significant loss, as Wright's building's were mostly so site specific. The Lamp house was no exception. It's specific location on the property along with its accessible roof top were esse...

Re: Fallingwater books
I believe the Fallingwater paintings featured in this catalogue were done while the artist was "in residence," not remotely from photographs.

Re: Article: FLW Offices at Hagen History Center - Erie, PA
The office interiors, started in late July 1951, were actually constructed by Aaron G. Green (assisted by another ex-Taliesin Fellowship apprentice Paul Bradley), so I would say then that Green occupied the office first. Frank Lloyd Wright designed it.

Don't give up Mark. I'm sure there are academic presses that would publish your work, or you should consider publishing your tome privately.

Re: Article: Restored Arizona Biltmore Hotel - Phoenix, AZ
Check out the 2014 Volume 2 Number 2 issue of the Journal of Organic Architecture + Design . This issue features both the facts and the puzzling mystery surrounding the Arizona Biltmore Hotel's design authorship: Was it Albert Chase McArthur? Was it Frank Lloyd Wright? Or was it a combination of bot...

Re: For sale: Alfred Browning Parker house - West Palm Beach, FL
It doesn't appear to me to have particular elements that shout out ABP's involvement to me, but there is a lot going on and obviously many modifications over the years, so its truly hard to offer a definitive yes or no (although, with only the images, I'm leaning heavily towards no). Property record...

Re: Restoring the World’s Only Frank Lloyd Wright Planetarium
I have always found it very curious that Wright located the entirely interior focused planetarium at the end of the Science and Cosmography building complex that had the best panoramic view of Lake Hollingsworth on campus.

Re: For sale: Alfred Browning Parker house - West Palm Beach, FL
Actually Roderick, ABP was involved as an architect in many speculative housing developments in the late 1940's and throughout the 1950's where he designed many homes similar in size and price point to this one. However, all that I know of were designed and built in the Miami Dade County area.

Re: For sale: Alfred Browning Parker house - West Palm Beach, FL
Very curious . . this might be another example of another realtor trying to attach a name to a house to sell it. There are certainly remnants of mid-20th century modern elements but there are also certain tells and clues that aren't consistent with ABP. Certainly this one could have slipped through ...

Re: Source of quote used by Ayn Rand
I haven't found it in any of my At Taliesin files. During my research for my book At Taliesin in the early 1990's I found almost 300 At Taliesin newspaper columns that were written from 1934 to 1938. I'd love to learn which At Taliesin column Shoshana Knapp Milgram found it in.
