Re: V. C. Morris Bldg, San Francisco, CA built-in bookcases
You might consider the Organic Architecture + Design Archives, a 501c3, whose mission is the preservation of materials related to Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin Fellowship. www.OADArchives.com This would make these materials available to the PUBLIC - not a collector. Best William Blair Scott, J...

OAD Archives - Organic Architecture + Design Archives
The loss of such collections is the primary reason for the establishment of the OAD Archives. We wanted to do this on the level, so we obtained a Federal Tax Exempt 501c3 status and we are a Illinois Non-Profit Corporation. Our primary purpose is to save collections that are in danger of being damag...

The Miller House In Lexington Kentucky
First I want everyone on WrightChat to understand that this a house by Jose Oubrerie who was an Apprentice of Le Corbusier, NOT Frank Lloyd Wright. I knew Mr. Oubrerie personally and not only had nothing to do with Frank Lloyd Wright, but in fact detested him. Mr. Oubrerie was the former dean of the...

Silver Lake Inn
It was divided into apartments in a since. Mrs. Willsey move her TWO sisters in during the 60's. So just for privacy it was divided into "apartments". I have several collections. It is a huge problem now with these collections, as Institutions that traditionally have taken them are no long...

Silver Lake Inn
Sorry I meant to also include that it closed in the mid-90's. There were about 9 or 10 cottages originally - each in a different FLLW style. These were torn down about 1993 and the land sold for the Willsey's retirement fund.

Silver Lake Inn
The Inn is very much still there 10 W. Silver Lake Road as I recall. Even the gate is worth seeing. It is for sale in the $ 400,000 range. If you are ever in the Traverse City area, you can pretty much walk up to and around it.

Will Willsey
I have most of Will's archive. He was a very active Architect in the Traverse City, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas. His Taliesin experience was odd. He was several years older than most of the apprentices and never quite fit in. However, as the years went by he became more like Mr. Wright. He had ...

Deke - I have been in the Frank Lloyd Wright world for just short of 20 years. I would have been shocked had this type of response not popped up sooner than later. Your point is well noted. Again I am not selling these recordings. I am just providing a service for engineering, copying and mailing. A...
