DRN visited Beth Sholom this weekend and found interior perfs. Some are panel perfs used as framing bands, similar to the Price Tower. Another is an open perforated board on the lower level Ark doors bookmatched to form a symmetrical 3 shape perf. Excellent photos by Bradley Maule here: http://hidde...

First, Thanks for WC support! Second, now that I have returned to this research, I am going backwards: reviewing the basic list of buildings with perfs, rereading the basic source Wright tomes again. Would you believe I found a project that included perforated boards that I missed! The 4602 Oobler S...

The Perf Project
Friends, I have started a gofundme site for financial aid to finalize the perf project research for a manuscript. I need to get to the Columbia University Archives. Finances and arthritis stymied this study far too long and with a new hip & knee, I'm ready for a couple of weeks of big city walki...

It should not be forgotten that wood board ceilings were drawn to relate to the geometry of the plan quite differently than slab floors. The concrete was striated with a simple grid: only intersections between changes in axis or wall interruptions altered unit shape and size. Indeed, the building is...

Nothing other than an unbuilt design. The Search Engine here is so cumbersome & unwieldy-I have no patience past 4 minutes to find a thread specifically on unbuilt projects. I have a fondness for Cavett, he was one of the few TV shows my parents would remove the telly from the closet to watch. S...

Off Topic but speaking of Unbuilt Wright
It is good, however, the Ayn Rand Project never happened, I could never darken its door, but was reminded today with this interview with Dick Cavett: [Cavett] "You can piss away valuable hours of your life reading Ayn Rand—her wretched appeal to the young, her wretched writing, her wretched p...

Screen Usonian Porch Construction Information
Some Usonians have trellis construction screened porches in wood, others in steel pipe or rod.
How is the screening attached? (How often was copper screen noted?)
Can torn screen be easily replaced?
Has anyone seen specified drawings on building sheets?
Does anyone have detail photos?
