Wrighter in St Louis I would post the photo of Wright I took in the summer of 1957 when he was giving a talk at the Spring Green High School. But I don't know how to post it. I see a button marked "Image." But there must be a way to load a photo before hitting "Image." But i don'...

Patrick Kinney House Addition

David Thanks for giving me the link to your photos of the Kinney house. In your photo No 87, looking south at the house from the north, what happened to the carport that was east off the main hexagonal part of the house? The house looks to be in good shape. My wife and I were at the Kinney house lat...

Thaxton House Addition In march 2011 Photos

Roderick Grant Thanks for pointing out the square module Thaxton house addition. I looked at the photos you listed that my son took. It looks like the addition to the Thaxton house makes it too large for photos without an extreme wide angle lens to show the difference between the square module addit...

Ward Willitts Original Furniture

In 1961 when I got the Ward Willitts house furniture this stuff was not valued by the art museums or the collectors. Only a few people were seriously interested in Wright and in his work then. I sold the first high back dining room chair in 1978 to the St Louis Art Museum because I needed the money....

William L. Thaxton House, Houston, Texas Photos March, 2011

The William L. Thaxton house is based on 120 and 60 degree angles, Wright's diamond module system. Some exterior photos of the house, however, suggest it is based on a square module system. See Storrer, William Allin. The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion. University Of Chicago Press, 2006. It is Storrer...

What Happened To the Ward Willitts House Dining Room Table?

A few days ago I became interested in seeing if I could find out where the Ward Willitts house dining room table is now by searching Google. I acquired it and several high back Willitts chairs in 1961 when I was selling pottery at a Highland Park, Illinois art fair. I found only what I already knew ...
