But all in all, it is a great read, and it is very nice to have a book about one of the greatest homes in my estimation ever ...

Not to mention, the American businessmen who did thriving business with the Third Reich. They weren't bad-mouthing Hitler either. Some big fortunes from that period were inherited by several American politicians we could name- including 3 presidents. Not to mention the European businessmen and busi...

Good luck! His houses look interesting. I wonder if there might be a connection to Pietro Belluschi? The one that is on NW Old Quarry Rd. is a real gem when you see it. The people that had it put a ton of work into it. I don't think it is painted the original colors as claimed, however. I can't fin...

I tried, but came up empty. May I ask why you are researching the architect? He designed a number of very interesting buildings in Portland, and the surrounding areas in the 50's and 60's and then just sort of disappeared. His homes designs are starting to pop up for sale here and there, most of th...

Does anyone here know where one might find more on this architect?
Some of his homes are for sale in the Portland, Oregon area currently to include his personal residence, but I haven't been able to dig much up on the man himself.
Thanks for any help,
John

A similar angle is to be found on the Walker countertops, only done in wood edging: It appears that the counters at Gordon might be a solid material like Corian, but it is difficult to see from the photo: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4141/4764554384_3314691624.jpg The countertops in the Gordon ho...
