I’m confused- I thought the Olympic flame was lit in Olympia, Greece, not Virginia Beach, USA?

Re: Conservancy Fundraiser: "Frank Lloyd Wright Evening at Penwern"
I met Mr. Miner about 9 months ago. He (or shall I say his organization?) was intent on purchasing the Alsop house in Oskaloosa. I had been assigned by the estate of the deceased owner to be the designated point/contact person in order to conduct showings. As I approached him in his parked car in fr...

Re: Lamberson House Restoration
I’m very happy with the gravel. And with no downspouts it’s the best way to go. The only downside is dust tracked into the house.

Re: Lamberson House Restoration
Just saw this now, Paul. Though we hire someone to do it a few times in the winter, here is some practical advice for plowing over gravel: Go slow Adjust the blade height a bit higher. Turn off the radio and listen while you plow. Start at the center. Take multiple passes for heavy accumulation. SDR...

Re: Laurie Virr, Organic Architect and friend.
I’m shocked and saddened by this news. Though I never met him, I was beginning to feel like we had become friends. A true mensch… rest his soul.

New photos of Lamberson taken by Emilene Leone this weekend- Notice the aerial photos in particular. I’ve always been curious as to what the birds see! She’s putting the drone to much better use than the usual illegal political assassination: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNxuvpXlnezmpsclSshp...

Re: Alsop house news
Thanks Dan. As you might suspect, it wasn’t completely altruistic on my part. I felt it important to know who my neighbor would be (or not be!) and obviously wanted the best price for the estate of Gordon Bollinger. I think Mia will be the perfect steward and seems to have the courage, humility and ...

I’ll ask Mia if she can direct me to more images of her father’s work. Btw- Her mother, Elaine Reed was a graphic designer, ceramicist, sculptor and painter.

flwromanza- (Mr. Miner?) I haven’t kept up with Revival developments for a while. Did the Canadians break ground on the Banff Pavilion?
I’d love to hear some updates…

I haven’t yet heard anything about it. But with that stellar lineup, it surely must have been engaging.
