Re: List Of DIY/Self-Built Wright Houses?
Didn't the Reisleys do a fair share of their own work as well?

Re: Do you recall the architect? Wright and Like Tour in WI (mid-2000s)
There was a brand new house by Helmut Ajango on the tour one year in that timeframe. Ajango was never an apprentice, and I think he was from one of the Baltic countries not Asia, but that was the first thing that came to mind.

Re: Walter Mondale, 1928-2021
It was a perfect house, I would liken it to a blending of Howe's "Johnson I" residence and Wright's Glore residence. I have a photo brochure of when it was for sale in the early 2000's that I will see if I can dig up. Unfortunately, the house was completely re-muddled and aesthetically rui...

Re: Sure, we can call anything "Frank Lloyd Wright"
While Colleyville has details that aggravate the soul, Crestline looks very interesting, but not enough is shown. It seems to be an unpretentious cottage for a reasonable price in a spectacular setting. The Colleyville residence was designed by Kelly Davis, of SALA and previously McGuire/Engler/Dav...

Re: Sure, we can call anything "Frank Lloyd Wright"
This one is not too shabby at all. Not sure who might be behind this one, it doesn't quite match up with the grammar of some of the regional suspects... the fireplace is very Michael McGuire/Kelly Davis-like, but it's much more rustic and "Prairieish" from what I expect from them. https://...

Very Nice John Howe Residence in Inver Grove Hts MN For Sale
John Howe's home designed in the mid-1980's for the Rachac family in Inver Grove Heights, MN is now for sale. I remember when this house was being built, I was in high school and a good friend of mine lived right across the street from it. Hope it becomes loved by good new stewards. Enjoy! https://w...

The house in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota (my hometown) was designed by architect Tod Drescher. It really is a nice house, and Tod has done some really nice work, he'd be the first to tell you that the FLLW comparison are the realtor's words, not his own. http://www.drescherarchitecture.com/index....

I have been unable to locate any information as to what the real world costs have been for the recent moves and reconstruction of Wright homes that one could benchmark the potential cost of disassembly, relocating, and reconstructing Mäntylä- I would think the Duncan or Bachman Wilson house projec...

Yep. Definitely a crap house. I hope the owners donate it to the City of Dallas and let the fire department burn it down for practice. Then, maybe a nice French Colonial can be erected on this prime piece of property. I'm far from being Rattenbury's #1 Fan, but, I've seen this house in person and it...

I offer this information to keep facts accurate, not to nitpick  The house that is the subject of this thread is the Klapmeier residence. And, this is far from being Howe's last built design. An original design from 1988 was built on its intended lot for original clients in St. Paul, MN after ...
