This piece, from just a year ago, makes clear in the first few paragraphs who designed the Quarry House -- and who he was inspired by.

What is that alternative therapy wherein tinctures -- tiny amounts of critical substances -- are administered ? That's what we seem to have here: little whiffs of Wright that magically bestow a "Wrightian essence" . . .

You have to overlook the furniture. (What exactly goes thru the minds of these people? Do they not sell mid-century modern furniture in Delaware?)

Both Bethesda and Dover houses are quite fine, even though they have little to do with FLW.

Even though the Dover house is of superior design, larger, on a larger lot, on a riverfront property, the $856,000 difference in price shows the greater desirability of living in Bethesda, MD over Dover, DE? The Dover house even comes with fuel for a move-in celebration fire on the terrace: the furniture. It also has a master shower that can accommodate 6 persons at a time.

The house designed by E.R. Herndon doesn't need to reference Wright, it stands well enough on its own as a E.FayJones inspired.

The other house designed by Nina Pence follows Wright's principles without mocking him. I'd call it Wright inspired.

Both excellent designs. Love the exterior wood walls at Klamath.
