Egad. Well . . . it has its moments. Way too many of them, probably, and most not worth writing home about.
Is that really a zig-zag dining table ? I'd have to live with it, before commenting. Nothing was safe, not even Roderick's Hollyhock living-room furnitecture. Or do you prefer "megastructure" ?

2002 is a surprising build date for this house; it appears to have the earmarks of a design from sixty years earlier . . . specifically Deck House, in Acton, MA,
which is still in operation. Postwar New England competitors included TechBuilt---but the Deck House (these post-and-beam designs utilized commercial-
structure tongue-and-groove decking for floors and roofs, permitting four-foot spans) has the tapered beam outriggers seen in the subject residence.
