Mssrs. Betsky and Haberkorn got a great deal on their house. The traditional materials of natural wood and brick give the modern structure warmth that so many modern designs lack. However, the BLUE! Of all the colors available at the paint store, virtually any shade of blue, especially lurid, should be the last choice. It's just a bad color for residential architecture, especially when used in abundance, as opposed to trim.

Roderick,
I agree and so does our friend FLW:
"Go to Nature, thou builder of houses, consider her ways and do not be petty and foolish. Let your home appear to grow easily from its site and shape it to sympathize with the surroundings if Nature is manifest there, and if not, try and be as quiet, substantial, and organic as she would have been if she had the chance. In other words, give the matter some intelligent thought, backed by artistic feeling if you can command it, then go to the woods for your color schemes and not to the ribbon counter at "Field's"."

or as I would say: "Blue is not an earth tone."
