On other Forums that in which I occasionally participate, posters that hit a lofty number like that often post with one short sentence that contributes very little if anything to the intellectual discourse. I always find Steve's posts to be incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and loaded with beautiful images, EXCEPT when he disagrees with me and then I found those posts lacking in logic. Mr. Green In all seriousness SDR is the epitome of Wright Chat. Kudos to Steve and many thanks for all that he contributes to Wright Chat.

Hearye, hearye.

Hail to the king (of Wright Chat)!

We are not worthy.

Thanks, Stephen. Really.

Likewise. And ditto, too!

I was talking w/ a few Wright Chatters at a meal on Friday evening prior to last Saturday's Wright Plus event, and we all agreed that this forum is filled w/ very giving and knowledgeable folks - and is a truly fantastic resource for those w/ a 'Wright interest'.

Thanks, Stephen, for being such a wonderful contributor.

Heh-heh -- almost missed my tribute. You are all too kind -- as the pleasure is clearly mine, and one I treasure dearly: the chance to contribute something to a community I hold in high regard. Where would I put my energy (and all this ink) if Wright Chat -- and its many knowledgeable and entertaining members -- did not exist ? Architecture turns out to be "an old man's art" after all. Truth be told, I'm only trying to keep up with the rest of you. . .

[I hear the orchestra, so it's time to "get off". . .!]

Thank you, thank you. . .

What an achievement, and of such quality! Truly outstanding.

I anticipate the next one thousand posts being of a similar standard, and look forward to them.

Cabinet making gained by your entry into the occupation, but for Architecture it was an indescribable loss. Architectural history, however, is benefitting by your efforts now.

I'll let you and other senior professionals be the judge of that. I am only an expressive amateur in the field, I fear. Fools rush in. . .?

Thanks for your kindnesses, in any event.

This is a perfect opportunity to not only thank Stephen for his wonderful contributions here at Wright Chat, but also for the "extracurricular" assistance and guidance which he has selflessly given to people like myself who find themselves undertaking projects that at times seem overwhelming, if not impossible.

What does an overwhelming preponderance of posts indicate, if not an overwhelming ego -- or too much free time ?

It is all (quite literally) my pleasure -- and I thank you again.

Peter (and his like -- there are too few) makes the real contribution, with his very concrete contribution to the brick and mortar -- and redwood -- reality of Wrightdom. We look on in wonder, and gratitude.

I can only echo what others have already said. I know of no other board that has such generous, knowledgeable posters--and SDR is the epitome. Thanks for your thoughtful contributions and your time and effort in posting such illustrative photos and drawings.

You are too kind.

I have thought that there was not much point in discussing a visual art without being able to see directly and immediately what it was we were discussing. While I am a latecomer to the use of the computer, I was able to master the medium to the extent of posting images; it was quite satisfying to be able to put to a use greater than my own amusement and edification, the Wright materials I had been collecting for many years.

None of that makes me more an "expert" on Wright and his work, than any of the rest of the group -- as I am sure is demonstrated on a weekly basis. . .!

SDR you are The Official Wright Chat Guru!

I have a folder of all of your sketches and designs you have posted on here. Not the Wright designs (though I do save a lot of those too), but the original designs you posted.
