True, SDR. As I have said before, if you were to melt Taliesin, you would not get "An die Freude."

I consider this project is finished

In this case the changes have been subtle and limited to improving the definition of the desert masonry.

I have created some panoramic renders of this work. I hope you like them.

Many thanks for these David.
I especially like the view within the entry gallery...it gives a sense of the dimmed lighting, closure, and compression one would have experienced prior to the release and brilliance of the natural light and view upon entering the living room.
Thanks again.

Thanks DNR!

I want to thank Jeff Myers for his effort and work published in this thread, as it has been key to understanding parts of the building (like the entrance) that have not been published in any other way.

Indeed. Jeff also led us into, and eventually out of, the mystery of the row of "perfs" at eye level in the outside wall of the entrance gallery. Or is that what David remarks on . . . ?

Great work by David. He takes digital rendering to an exquisite level in color, texture, and formal composition (the architect's, and his own). We are grateful.

Beautiful work, David. Even more convincing in black and white. I'm always reminded of this church from the 1700s in Taos, New Mexico: http://www.mygola.com/san-francisco-de-asis-church-p49259

SDR: I read this long thread with much interest and even intrigued, to a large extent, because of the "mystery of the row of perfs" (Fortunately at some point in the thread the mystery is solved)

This great video:

It is the only document with certain rigour which shows the complete Pauson house, as there are no published pictures of the entire upper floor, entrance, kitchen and service bedroom (as far as I know)

Thanks Jeff!

To add something more, this particular thread has been a strong influence when starting my project "Hooked on the Past"

Thank you all, your generosity in sharing your knowledge is an inspiration.

Glad to know this lengthy thread continues to be of use. We surely enjoyed putting it together . . . !

The more we see of Pauson, the more the genius of the thing shines through, one of the greatest losses of FLW's legacy salvaged.

Jeff sends his YouTube video for re-posting:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfFcqWbPUuI&feature=youtu.be

Jeff Thielemier seems to be the only one prior to David Romero to have made a close study of the house and to have made and shared a digital model.
