R.M. Schindler Documentary

Post by rmsdocumentary »

CALL TO ACTION: Since 2012, filmmaker Valentina Ganeva has been working on the definitive documentary on R.M. Schindler, a pioneer of modern architecture. Ultimately, the film affirms the singular genius of one man, and the eternal challenge every artist faces to stay true to their vision in an effort to leave a lasting impact. The majority of the filmmaking process, including interviews with Frank Gehry, Thom Mayne, Steven Holl, Wolf Prix, Ray Kappe and many others has been completed. Now an Indiegogo campaign has been launched to help gather the funds needed to complete this crucial work. As a supporters of the Arts and Architecture I hope you'll contribute to the completion of this film.

Support at any scale is appreciated. Beginning at $15, every donation will be acknowledged with the reproduction of Schindler drawing ranging from a postcard to a limited-edition print.

I'm in with that. And if my gambles pay off, I'll be able to go for one of the pricier "perks." In the meantime I'll be able to enjoy a disc when the film eventually debuts . . .

Get with it, folks. We have our first Jack Howe tribute/documentary just this summer---and now we'll have the first Rudolph Michael Schindler, ditto. Yay !

Thank you so much! Keeping my fingers crossed. BTW, I'm in the process of getting a fiscal sponsor, so bigger donors can get tax-deductions. Hope you win big and come on board as an associate producer.

Wouldn't that be great ? Either way, keep up the good work. You've found that these things can take years to realize; Rob Barros certainly did.

The stills (and vintage footage) on your site are heart-warming---and promising !
