Those must be shadows lit from below at the living and dining room ceilings? The coloring looks odd and un-natural...

Yes---isn't that odd ? But the shadows do call attention to the horizontal "fliers" of there---which might contain tie-rods ?

How could the architect who owned the house and had such a high opinion of FLW have put that inappropriate chandelier in the dining room? It may be a nice fixture, that fills many hearts with joy, but it is wildly out of place in the Baker House.
