What's not to like ? Very fine...if not particularly inventive.
Photo 22 of the first set is particularly pleasing---the entry. The plan (go left, second link) explains the forms.

not quite sure why this house is considered admirable - nothing new here, another rehashing of once great ideas. Its all become a formula, I think, something that nearly everyone can point to and say FLW, without the sense of proportion or innovation that came with the original. |

The house, on a 4 acre site located within an enclave of 30 homes that range in price from $500k-$1.2 mill just sold for asking price $649K. This seems reasonable compared with the downtown (assuming Cinci) living that the owners are planning. Although I believe the buyer of the Boulter House ($695k) won a much better deal:

I'm perplexed by the sequencing of the space. The entry seems wonderful in itself, yet its movement seems to direct the person right into the kitchen. Perhaps its the open-floor-plan that disorients that sequence? Maybe if there was some sort of screen that blocked the site line into the kitchen, the person would be directed to turn to the left, thus dropping them into the living space?
"Sequence of space", climaxing in the expansive living space, is my favorite aspect of Wright's work. This home seems like a missed opportunity, in my opinion.

Does one of the "Great Room" ceiling beams actually bisect the stone column and extend out to the edge of the soffit? |

The plan shows a central stone-clad column supporting the longest ridge beam near its intersection with three others. Seems to make sense...
The footstools must unstack to double their numbers, don't you suppose ? Too bad this isn't shown---if so.
