John D Haynes' second house

Post by DRN »

Apparently the circular MCM house next door the Wright designed John D Haynes house in Fort Wayne is about to change owners:

According to the history, the Haynes family outgrew the Wright designed house and rather than adding to it, they subdivided the property and built a new circular MCM house by a local architect next door to the Wright house. This second Haynes house is a good design in its own right.

Including a floor plan in real estate ads is very helpful, especially for a house that includes circles. Though there is no special plan shown, notice that there are plan and elevation drawings of the house on the wall.

Very interesting house.
