Lowell Walter at risk of flooding ?

Some might be wondering if Cedar Rock is threatened by the Wapsipinicon River. I can't answer that---yet---but I can show that Mr Wright was
aware of the potential: on the elevation drawing of the boathouse (or River Pavilion) is indication of "high water," at roughly the center of the sheet.

The lower level plan shows "lockers above high water" (top center). The bars on the boat ramp are rollers . . .

Of course the house is at greater elevation than the pavilion---but we don't know if 1948's high water mark has been exceeded in more recent times . . .
