Albert C. Ledner definitely deserves recognition. The entire decade of the 1960s should be reevaluated.

Ledner’s work is engaging and the more I see of it, the more I see him as a kindred spirit to Bruce Goff. The glimpses of his construction drawings have me wanting to see more....maybe all of them.

Is Mr Ledner's lack of recognition due, perhaps, to a dearth of photographs, of publication of his work, over the years in which he was active---a phenomenon described sympathetically by Pierluigi Serraino in his 2006 book, "NorCalMod" ? Or is that not the case ?

My understanding is that the architectural media (press and critics) covered the large work particularly in NYC, possibly because it couldn’t be ignored, but overlooked much of Ledner’s smaller scale work. I don’t recall Ledner’s houses in HB or the Record Houses and P/A Houses issues from the ‘60’s, ‘70’s, and ‘80’s that I have seen.
Similarly, with a few notable exceptions, Bruce Goff was covered in the popular press such as LIFE, more often than he was by the architectural press.
