Thanks, Paul; I learned more about the event and the damage to structures on the Panhandle coast than I have from all of the visual newsmedia coverage combined.

Smart renters, too, it seems, in the subject "sand castle." Yes, it's events like this one that highlight adequate versus inadequate construction. Great data for designers, builders and owners ?

It sounds like more people will pay attention to storm warnings in the future ? "It'll veer away; they always do" isn't necessary prudence, now -- if it ever was . . .

This disaster should also convince people that power lines should be buried. Getting the power back on is one of the biggest problems in these situations, but they keep stringing them from poles. Makes no sense.
