Thanks, cdf. Is there anything on the house in the MOCA Case Study book ?

I'm not able to Google your Instagram page; any other way in ?

my god, what a shame. The "inferior desecrator" has lived up to Wright's title!

If the after shots were an all new house I'd be pleased, but to see what was removed to make "room" for what is there today is indeed a loss. A sense of richness and texture is lost to a taupe monotony.

Well, I found this, from 2013. Guess I'm grateful not to have seen the "after" shots . . .

That house, as-built, approaches perfection. Rodney Walker was a great architect. He designed a house across Glendower from the entrance fa├žade of Ennis, which a long-ago Hollyhock docent (now deceased) bought. A real gem of a house, though conservative compared to Walker's own house.

This one's new to me. I don't know what the roof structure consists of, but the effect on the interior is of a light tent. The plan shape might be an equilateral
triangle; it would be dandy to see a drawing. There seems to be plenty of room, enough for an office with desk . . .?

Yes, the plan is an equilateral triangle.

SE corner, visible in the distance in photo #1, and in photo #2 at the left end, + 6, 8, 12, 13, a trellised terrace, with exterior views in 22, 23 and 41.

The north corner contains a carport and entrance seen from various views in photos 2 - 5, etc.

The main bedroom suite occupies the SW corner, seen in #27 to 31, and a second bedroom is along the SW to North wall, #26, 32, 33.

At the center are the fireplace, kitchen and facilities.

Perhaps, the elimination of the old materials and the use of the new muted decor are to prepare the house to go back on the market.
