We continue to wish for restoration of the searchable library here at Wright Chat.

I've trolled through the last twelve months of the directory and cannot find the thread containing "David's" (do I have that right ?) digital model of the Larkin building.

Is the present video, posted by a Mario Rodríguez, the work of the same artist ?

I don't know if there is any link between Mario Rodriguez and David Romero, but if not, there should be. Excellent job.

So, unless Razin Khan is the pseudonym of Mario Rodriguez or David Romero, we have a third modeler who has achieved a Larkin Administration Building recreation.

The credits on the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust video do not extend to the program(s) employed by Mr Khan, nor any assistants he may have employed.

Razin is a real person, living in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He's a regular in my Wright Attitude group on Facebook, and does phenomenal work.

An example of his work:

Having spent an evening at the Bach House, I can say that this is fairly accurate, with the exception of color. The white of the caning of the dining chairs, for example, needs to move towards a buttery color, as well as the ceiling paint.

The problem with Bach is that the densely patterned windows were limited to the sides, not the main view windows. Otherwise a very good video.

Razin's large and impressive image of the Dana house above is compromised by a plane of molding with a (skewed) knotty-wood grain. The wood in the
house surely does not have knots in it; moreover, the assembly thus indicated is in reality made of separate pieces of wood, each of which has grain
running parallel to its length.

In order to save the labor of creating joint lines at each intersection of the assembly, and correctly orienting the grain in each piece, the modeler might
have given the whole an opaque stain or coat of paint -- as the original no doubt displayed ?
