Gary Tucker, whose work is known to many on Wright Chat, died on March 25, in Hillsboro, Oregon, at age 87. Gary had practiced architecture for more than 50 years, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1958, after graduating from UC Berkeley, he entered a one-year apprenticeship with Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin. While Wright’s philosophical approach may be sensed in Gary’s houses, they nonetheless display his unique facility for architectural form. Gary lived in his work. He was ‘old school’ in that he would spare no effort to bring his vision to reality. Sadly, near the end of his life, four of his best houses were lost to the Autumn Fires of 2017.

I recall seeing the Smith residence, here, a couple of years back---very interesting.

I would like to see more; the last-linked page above says "click on website for more photos" but I don't know what that means . . .
