Recreational vehicle homes ? Or homes manufactured in an RVIA-inspected plant ?

I believe the subject is Tiny Homes. It's great to be reintroduced to a long-standing member of the alternative architectural fraternity; Sarah Susanka's
"The Not So Big House" introduced many to Kelly Davis's own house (T West Minor ?) and other examples of his work, in 1998.

It will be good to catch up with Mr Davis, his cohorts, and what he's been up to lately . . .

Here in Seattle we're in need of better vertical design. The population boom has resulted in a lot of townhomes, few of which are appealing to the eye. I'm surprised no one locally has developed some type of prefab townhome (3 stories on a 800 sf footprint).

Your response brings up questions about typical, or particular, urban building lot sizes. I found this, from a document published in 1915. Lots sizes in some American cities are mentioned.

An architect I've been working with here, and his girlfriend, have acquired a little land on the coast. There's an existing residence on half the lot, currently rented; he mentioned a Tiny House for the other half, for their getaway place. We'll see what happens . . .
