Anyone familiar with this book about Taliesin, put out in 1992?

No. The price is right. If no one here -- Jim McIntosh comes to mind -- doesn't have this book and isn't interested in acquiring this copy, I will certainly do so. Step right up . . .

I do not find the detail sheet either in Monograph 3 nor in Taschen I.

I've ordered the copy offered by Amazon, as I have an account there. I wonder what houses other than Taliesin are included in the volume.

This was intended to be the first in a series that ended with volume 2 about Fallingwater. The book has essays by Neil Levine, Scott Gartner, Anthony Alofsin and Narciso Menocal (Editor). The only other house covered extensively is Gilmore. There is mention of Dana in connection with the statue "Flower in the Crannied Wall," a copy of which resides at Taliesin.

Volume 2 contains essays by Kathryn Smith, Neil Levine and Richard Cleary.

Menocal has also authored two books about Sullivan: "Architecture As Nature" and "Louis Sullivan: The Poetry Of Architecture" (with Robert Twombly).

Thank you. So, the second volume exists as well ?

I am always interested in Wright's drawings (and original drawings of the work) so it will be worth something just for that.

Yes, Volume 2 was published in 2000. I believe Menocal had health issues, and was losing his hearing, which may have had something to do with truncating the series. Too bad.
