I hope that we are. And, thanks to all who have worked to get us back up-and-running.

The 'search' function doesn't appear to be working, though.

And the logins appear to not be persistent, which was an issue before it died.

Well, this caught me by surprise -- much like the outage did. Two and a half months seemed like much more, to me. Did we learn anything while we were away ?

Not as much as we do here, sadly. I did learn how much I value connection with my online friends.

The "search" function works, but only seems to pull up results post-outage. Pre-November 30, 2017 does not seem to be searchable at this time. The old posts exist if one manually toggles back, but the valuable key word search ability is not there.

As we think of them or want to add to them, we should painstakingly go back and find important threads and post to them to make them current...Pauson, Lamberson, red tiles, Sweeton, etc. come to mind. It may be easiest to look in our respective profiles and click on "Find all posts by..." and post to the topics you most want to see current. I'll try it with the recent Radiant Pipe Repair thread.

S.h.i.t! My theory didn't work...moving pre-outage topics forward does not make them searchable.

Well, it actually semi-works - at least on post-outage threads. I just tested it by putting the 'video' in the "Search for Keywords" box - and got nothing back. But, when I added 'DavidC' to the "Search for Author" along with the word 'video', as previous, it did give me the newly posted thread on Seth Petersen Cottage.

So, it's possible to get something. But, only post-outage. And, only if you know the author of the thread.

Ah-Ha! I searched the word "outage" and the pre-outage threads I forwarded came up. It will be necessary to use descriptive key words in the first new posting to a pre-outage thread to get it to be searched...otherwise pre-outage keyword verbiage is invisible to the search function.

I typed some keywords into the Lamberson thread and that made the pre-outage thread come up in a search for those words...(I typed Lamberson, peterm, Stafford Morris, Oskaloosa)

I just searched "Sweeton" and got only four Dec 1, 2017 posts.

Response times seem to be faster than before.

Have the folks here 'passed the word' to fellow Wright Chatters that the Board is back? I've sent a couple of emails to let folks know. I'm sure that many previous participants may have thought things were gone for good, by this point in time.

For now, the only way to make pre-outage threads come up on a search is to have a post-outage posting to them with their most logical keywords in the body of the new posting to the thread...the old verbiage is "invisible" to the search function.

However, if one searches Google with "Wright Chat" + "Davenport" old Davenport threads come up. This may be a way to find old threads for revitalization.

Chat seems to have had a stroke...we just need to connect some new neurons to unlock stored memories.
