One way that the era of Krisel, Anshen & Allen, et alia, has been compromised is the timidity of today's home owners when it comes to color. The post WWII era was vibrant. Lautner's 1953 Berggren House, for instance, originally had coral walls, turquoise trim and green-patina copper foil ceilings. The 60s turned everything beige.
