|What's out there ? Is anyone reviewing the building, landscape, and community "built environment" in the digital realm ?
We all remember those moments of intense interest, when an all-too-brief peek at a building or a city would appear in a Gene Roddenberry or a George
Lucas movie or TV show. Is fantasy building a legitimate area of interest for students of architecture ?
Here at Wright Chat we've seen a bit of the Minecraft digital environment, as employed by one or another of its practitioners in pursuit of an
understanding of Wright's work. Can building designs be rendered usefully in a novel space-grid that echoes the one used by the original designer ?
Who else is doing this work/play -- a necessarily different focus on the architectural subject compared to the kind of modeling our friend David
gives us, for instance ? Are there any studies of the subject ? Does anyone review games for their visual environment ? Any star examples we might
want to see ?
