Sadly, while there is some content online about Simpsons episodes which were about architecture, I don't find anyone listing architecture-as-background or setting on the show. I still think these shots
of a movie-house lobby contain a reference to Usonian perfs; are those Wrightian blocks and ceiling panels ?

Oh---and I have two more random appearances, of Wright and of a Craft Architect or Shingle Style residence ?

Nope. He was never an apprentice. He doesn't show up on either John Geiger's List or the Taliesin Timeline. He studied at Cornell University’s College of Architecture.

I wrote to the article's author yesterday offering the link for her edification. But, apparently, nothing has changed, as of yet.

Cartoons are thin porridge when it comes to social commentary, which is why I have never watched a single episode of The Simpsons, or any other such. But I have caught sight of a Wright-related design on TV on more than one occasion: The grille from the Johnny Hill-designed house in Cincinnati has cropped up here and there. I wouldn't be surprised if there are wallpaper manufacturers who offer it. As a complex & orderly geometric pattern, it is about as good as it gets for a backdrop.

Perhaps they are referring to Wright's extremely little known "Lobster-Chasing-Butterfly House" in Maine.

This house would ascend to another level by substituting masonry for that terrible vertical tile throughout.. would like to think the architect's original intention.
