Story of the Tower is essentially a 130 page book of photos and captions; to scan and post all would be a very time consuming task. Can you be more specific about what portions or details you are wanting to verify? |

Rood gave me a summary of the photos. I was looking for any photos of the conference room, newsstand, any color images of the offices or apartments. _________________ JAT

According to plans Wright had 3 murals planned of which two were done. Masselink designed the office mural and Wright designed the corporate apartment mural.
The plan is scribbled in by Wright with color notes.
A third mural was planned for the conference room on plywood but not done.
Wright or Masselink did the mural in the lobby but this was likely on his suggestion and is not noted in the plans.
I have a drawing that shows the conference room perf design, with the note to paint the wall behind in grey. It was painted a red however. _________________ JAT

"Prairie Skyscraper," a collection of essays by Anthony Alofsin, Joseph Siry, Pat Kirkham, Scott Perkins and Hillary Ballon, published by Rizzoli in 2005, has a lot of colored photos, many of nooks and corners not found in "Story of the Tower," including the murals. |

Roderick
I do have this book plus building Bartlesville.
I have been to the Price Tower archives where I only viewed a set of construction pictures.
I extensively made a computer model of both murals in Sketchup. I hope to finish the model soon along with a bit of updates to Pauson. _________________ JAT

Here is the unbuilt hassock for the tower. Colors will be fixed later on after I tackle the easy chair. I still have to construct the stenographer chair and dining chair for the model. I have included images from when I was last working on the model in early 2013.
