Donald Hoffmann just sent me an article titled "Between the Wars: An Encinitas Home by Architect H. Th. Wijdeveld." Unfortunately, while the text of the article came up, none of the photographs were included, not in the attachment Don sent, nor in the article I found online.

Does anyone know about this house? I have never heard that Wijdeveld did any work in this country.

In other news, the 6.4 earthquake was about 1/3 of the way from Ablin toward Vegas. No damage reported, but considering how far distant it was from WeHo, that I felt it was disconcerting.

JimM, how do you get the photos? I get text only.
Architecture without images is weak gruel.

Do not miss this piece, linked at the bottom of the first page linked above. In Dutch, but fully translated and with copious enlargeable illustrations.

Roderick, as you have had problems in the past re viewing of images, I can only surmise that you have a filter of some sort, presumably one designed to
protect against spam or malware, that is engaged without your being aware of it.

Google a short sentence describing your problem and including the names of your operating system and browser; someone else will have had the same
issue and can offer advice. Or you can forward that info to me, and I'll see what I come up with.

Here is one page relating (I think) to your issue:

Voila! You are right, SDR. I went to Firefox (which is not my favorite browser), and I got the images. Thanks.

Good move ! And if you prefer your other browser, I'm sure its security settings could be changed.
