Nice version of the Penfield House:

Just for the fun of it:

The drawing of the living room does not match the corresponding floor plan of the new version.

Mmm -- the bench seating is missing on the plan; the dining table is not seen in the rendering.

Are there other---architectural---differences ?

I spy a clear sight line out the front door. However, in the plan the master bedroom juts out a couple feet, which should be visible.

Yes. Also, the exterior view seems to portray an extension of the bedroom roof to encompass a carport, not shown on the plan.

My nit picks... the drafter left out corner glazing at the living room pier and also transposed the names of the utility and laundry rooms.

The Lindal plan suggests possible improvement to Wright's effort. As shown in the rendering if not on the plan, the Lindal layout brings the fireplace within reach of the living-room seating, for instance.

One looks afresh at the Penfield plan and wonders what would have happened if the chimney were brought forward until it aligned with the north bedroom wall: the house would gain a separate dining area, and possibly a fireplace upstairs as well ?

Lindal: Plan shows a symmetrical fireplace, while the perspective shows opening off-center. Plan has French doors on both sides of living room, perspective, like Penfield.

It isn't a bad plan, but a bit bloated. Penfield is a modest-sized house, while Lindal is a combination of the original scale and some McMansion roominess in the usual spots, which seems at odds.
